Willits Charter School is governed by the Charter School Association of Willits Board of Directors, which determines the policies of the school, conducts long-term strategic planning, and ensures that the school achieves its educational and financial goals. The Board is composed of 5-9 members representing parents and the community. The Director of Willits Charter School implements the policies of the Board and oversees the day-to-day operations of the school.
The Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of each month, at 4:00 p.m., to discuss policy and procedural matters relevant to the school. These meetings are open to the public and the agenda is posted in front of Willits Charter School and Willits Elementary Charter School, and on this page below, 72 hours in advance. Parents may submit agenda items for discussion at least one week in advance of the scheduled meeting.
